Dr. Max More (born Max T. O'Connor; January 1964)[1] is a British-born American cryonicist and transhumanist. He was the president of the Alcor Life Extension Foundation from 2011 to 2020. He was the Ambassador and President Emeritus of Alcor from 2020 to January 2023, having been the Director of Communications of Biostasis Technologies after that.[2] Having joined Alcor in 1986, he has signed up for neuropreservation arrangements with Alcor.
More received a Doctorate in Philosophy in 1995 from the University of Southern California after completing a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Oxford University.[1] He is married to Natasha Vita-More, since 1996.[1]
He is a signatory of the Scientists' Open Letter on Cryonics, having signed it on March 31, 2004.[3]
